In the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained a drunk snowmobile driver

In the Turukhansky municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained a driver who was driving drunk again.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region said that while patrolling the streets in Turukhansk, traffic inspectors stopped a BuranLider snowmobile without registration numbers, driven by a 27-year-old driver.

“Traffic inspectors examined the man for intoxication. The device showed 1.7 mg/l of ethyl alcohol in the air he exhaled. Traffic police found out that the man had previously been convicted of drunk driving,” the regional police reported.

A criminal case has been initiated against the man under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record.” He faces up to 2 years in prison.

The offender was also brought to administrative responsibility for repeated driving of a vehicle that was not registered in the prescribed manner. The maximum sanction of the article is deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one to three months.

The man's snowmobile is placed in a special parking lot.
