Company representatives say the situation was misinterpreted and the recent adjustments are about operational optimization, not a recall.

“We didn't close any locations, just 37 customer access points that were no longer seeing a sustainable level of usage!”said the company's commercial director, Cornel Morcov.

He emphasized that the network continues to operate as normal: “Our network is operating within normal parameters and the company continues to grow.”

FAN Courier explains that the reorganization comes against the background of changing consumer behavior and an increasingly focused orientation towards digital solutions.

“We are seeing a clear and constant shift in customer preferences”company representatives sent, showing that more and more users are choosing delivery through lockers and proximity points. “It's a growing trend nationwide, and we're constantly adapting to stay aligned with those needs.”

In this context, the company accelerates investments in the FANbox network, which already has thousands of automated points, but also in the development of mobile applications. They allow customers to manage shipments in real time and redirect parcels to other delivery points.

No layoffs, employees are redeployed

The company's representatives state that the reorganization of the network does not involve layoffs, the employees being redistributed to other operational structures.

In parallel, FAN Courier continues to invest in infrastructure, fleet and digitization, in a context where the courier market is increasingly moving towards automated solutions and flexible delivery.

Reactions from customers

Despite the explanations provided by the company, the decision to close some of the access points generated dissatisfaction among some customers, especially on social networks.

“FAN Courier doesn't want to pick up parcels from customers at the headquarters anymore. Who do you send the parcels with?”, wrote a user from Craiova on Facebook.

Other users indicated alternatives offered by the company: “You can hand over the package to FANbox or call the courier at home”, while another comment highlights the advantages of the new solutions: “There is FANbox, anyway at the headquarters you waited a long time in line”.

The company insists, however, that it maintains all its delivery options, including courier, FANbox lockers and partner Collect Points.
