On Wednesday, April 15, the 29th stage of the Men's National Basketball League, the penultimate round of the regular season, ended. CSM CSU Oradea, Romania's vice-champion, has secured its first position in the ranking, while several teams are still fighting for the playoffs.

At the end of this week, the regular season of the National Men's Basketball League will end and the qualified teams in the playoffs of the competition will be determined. Meanwhile, the 7 matches of the 29th round took place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

CSM Târgu Mureș – CSM Corona Brașov, with 241 points scored, was the match of the round

CSM CSU Oradea secured the first place in the ranking, achieving an important victory, especially for morale, in front of CS Dinamo București, the team ranked second: 78-72. For the group from the Capital it was the first defeat after a long series of positive results.

CSU Sibiu continues to put on a show and fight for the playoffs and, pushed from behind by a fantastic audience, won against CSO Voluntari: 85-64. The best player was veteran Monyea Pratt who, at 40, looks to be following in LeBron James' footsteps in terms of longevity.

The American basketball player collected 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks, having an efficiency index of +32. Therefore, Pratt is the MVP of the 29th round in the National League.

The most spectacular match of the stage was the one between CSM Târgu Mureș and CSM Corona Brașov, which, just like in the round, needed extra time. Although they had big problems with the Romanian players, eliminated for the accumulation of 5 personal fouls, the blue and white managed, sent the match to overtime and prevailed 123-118.

SCM U Craiova stopped Rapid București's impressive streak and defeated them 97-93, while SCM Timișoara and CS Vâlcea 1924, teams fighting for the playoffs, achieved some narrow victories.

The players from Banat won the white-purple duel with FC Argeș Basketball, score 89-87, while the players from Valcen, with a new coach, Antonis Constantinides, got their revenge against Stela Bucharest: 69-66.
