The 32-hour ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine on the occasion of Orthodox Easter expired tonight, as evidenced by a new Ukrainian attack hundreds of kilometers deep into Russia, this time in the middle of the day.
Kiev's target is the Apatit plant located in Cherepovets. Apatit is the largest plant in Europe and one of the largest in the world producing phosphorus fertilizers, ammonia, nitrates, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid – substances that then go to Russian arms plants, where they are used to produce ammunition, explosives and rocket fuel.
Ukraine starts the rocket countdown
Ukraine's long-range attacks should soon become even more dangerous. Two new ballistic missiles developed by Fire Point are scheduled to enter service in the coming months. The first is the FP-7 with a range of 200 km and a 100-kilogram warhead, which was already undergoing flight tests in February.
The FP-9 is expected to be even more dangerous – a ballistic missile with a range of 850 km and an 800-kilogram warhead. This weapon is to be ready at the beginning of summer and may become a real nightmare for the Russian defense industry. Russian air defense systems have repeatedly shown that they have great difficulty destroying ballistic missiles, which means that the FP-9 may be virtually unstoppable.
