Former great footballer Adrian Ilie (51 years old) was caught drunk driving on Good Friday, and his driver's license was suspended for 90 days.
On Friday evening, around 21:30, “Cobra” was stopped by a police crew in the Poiana Brașov mountain resort. He had a blood alcohol level of 0.23 mg/l pure alcohol in exhaled airand his license was suspended for 90 days, as required by law in such situations. The information is confirmed for Gazeta by the spokesperson of IPJ Brașov, Daniel Zontea.
Being below the threshold of 0.80 mg/l, Adrian Ilie's crime does not fall within the criminal sphere, being classified as a misdemeanor and resulting in the suspension of the license for 90 days.

We remind you that a similar offense in the summer of 2023 earned Adrian Ilie, a year later, an 8-month suspended prison sentence. Then, “Cobra” was detected with a blood alcohol level of 0.40 mg/l of pure alcohol in exhaled air.
Then a criminal case was also opened against him, because at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (INML), where he had been taken by the police, he opposed the collection of biological samples.
Subsequent, motivated his refusal as follows: “I've had a virus in my blood since I was young and it's only been about two years since I got rid of it. And that's why I don't do tests anywhere anymore.”
