The famous investor Warren Buffett announced on Saturday that he intends to leave the Berkshire Hathaway concern at the end of this year, AFP reports. Buffett has led this conglomerate for more than six decades.

Greb Abel (62 years old), the vice president of the group, has been appointed since 2021 to take over Buffett's succession.

Buffett has announced since 2006 that they intend to gradually donate their wealth

The 94 -year -old Buffett will donate almost all his wealth, evaluated by Bloomberg at $ 150 billion, to a charity trust supervised by his daughter and his two sons.

Buffett said on Monday that three potential successors were appointed to serve as administrators of the trust, if his 71 -year -old daughter and his 69 -year -old sons, 69, and 66, will not be able to fulfill this role.

He mentioned that each of the successors is a little younger than his children, well known by them and that the decision “makes sense for all.”

Buffett also said he donates about $ 1.14 billion in additional Berkshire to four family foundations.

He donated 56.6% of his Berkshire shares to the foundations and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from his 2006 commitment to donate almost all his money for charitable purposes.

Donations were worth over $ 58 billion at the time of their performance, including more than $ 43 billion to the Gates Foundation.

Almost all Buffett's wealth is given by the shares he owns in his Berkshire Hathaway investment company, which he has been running since 1965. Berkshire's financial documents to US regulatory authorities in 2022 have shown that the billionaire has not given a 40-year-old salary.
