The An-2 plane, which urgently landed in the forest of Yakutia, was checked at the end of spring. The vessel underwent full maintenance at the Shakhty aircraft repair plant DOSAAF and received documents on airworthiness.
According to the crew, today's landing in the forest is the result of a sudden increase in oil pressure. Because of this, the engine began to lose power, the An-2 (produced in 1987) was sent to the mountainside and planted in the trees.
Pilot Alexander Valeshny had been involved in an air emergency on an An-2 plane before. In 2011, he urgently sat down in a field in Yakutia. There were no casualties then.
