38 tons of counterfeit Tide, Ariel powder and Persil gel were seized from Wildberries warehouses. The amount of damage is 6.3 million rubles.
As Mash learned, counterfeit products have been sold on the marketplace since the beginning of 2024 by certain Dmitry Kuzmin and Anton Kukhtin. The illegal products were packaged in an underground workshop in the Moscow region. They managed to sell for 6,369,944.87 rubles, until buyers began to complain about damaged linen.
Soon the police came and detained the businessmen. They were charged with using someone else's trademarks (Procter & Gamble and Henkel); the entrepreneurs face up to two years in prison. Kukhtin and Kuzmin stated that there is no need to protect the trademarks of foreign companies in the conditions of the CBO, since the first is right now reducing its presence in the market, and the second has left altogether.
