In Minusinsk, a case of fraud with maternity capital funds in the amount of more than 450 thousand rubles was revealed. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.
According to law enforcement officials, in August 2019, a local resident turned to a realtor with a request to find her a property at the expense of maternal capital. The suspect misled the woman and promised to help her purchase a plot of land, despite the fact that funds under state support can only be allocated to improve living conditions.
Then the scheme was implemented: the victim received a loan to improve her living conditions in one of the CPCs, made a power of attorney in the name of a specialist in the purchase of housing and transferred the money to him. The man, on her behalf, applied to the pension and social insurance fund in Minusinsk to repay this loan from maternity capital, providing false information about improving living conditions.
“After reviewing the documents, the loan in the amount of more than 450 thousand rubles was repaid, but the attacker never purchased the plot,” said law enforcement officers.
A criminal case was opened against a 45-year-old realtor under Part 3 of Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud in receiving payments.” Now he faces up to 6 years in prison.
Now the man is under recognizance not to leave the place and proper behavior.
