Former Mariinsky Theater soloist Maria Maksakova-Igenbers (recognized as a foreign agent) faces up to 6 years in prison for an interview with a Ukrainian TV channel. In which she called on Russians to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian law enforcement officers saw him and opened a criminal case under the article “Public calls for activities directed against the security of the state.” Maksakova-Igenbers was born in Munich in 1977. From 2011 to 2017 she was a soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, as well as a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the sixth convocation. In recent years he has been living abroad.
