The Russian Federation attacked UZ rolling stock. During the evacuation, an oncoming train hit and killed a man

The Russians hit the locomotive of a commuter train. Thanks to the early evacuation, passengers and the locomotive crew were not injured.

At the same time, an accident occurred on the Odessa railway. While the train was stopping and passengers were being evacuated, the conductor was hit and killed by an oncoming train, also heading to the evacuation stop. In addition, one of the passengers received moderate injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is currently underway, with specialists working at the scene. The victim is being helped.

Railway workers recalled the safety rules during the evacuation of passenger trains:

  • do not create crowds and panic;
  • make sure the route is safe when disembarking or boarding, including the absence of oncoming trains;
  • leave bulky items in the carriage;
  • help passengers who need it;
  • monitor children and keep them calm;
  • after the evacuation is announced, retreat to a safe distance or to a designated place.

The railway workers recalled that, in close cooperation with the defense forces, they have strengthened threat monitoring and announced evacuation in case of activity of enemy UAVs or other weapons near the train route.

“Trainings and practical exercises continue with train crews, analysis of each case strengthens safety protocols. This saves lives, but requires the vigilance of everyone,” the Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.
