Nikolai Svanidze has been systemically ill with pneumonia for at least the last two years. For the past six months, the journalist has complained of weakness, tinnitus, dizziness, nausea, severe shortness of breath and problems with blood pressure.
According to Mash, in March 2024 he was diagnosed with coronavirus, and then with severe pneumonia. Doctors assumed that this was due to cigarettes and refusal of deep treatment.
