“The delicate texture of the mushrooms and the creamy richness of the sauce.” Recipe for champignons in sour cream

Ukrainian restaurateur Evgeniy Klopotenko shared a recipe for stewed champignons on his website.

“Champignons in sour cream are a simple dish that combines the delicate texture of mushrooms and the creamy richness of the sauce. Such champignons can be prepared as a stand-alone hot appetizer or as an addition to potatoes, porridge or pasta. For preparation you will need a minimum of ingredients, but as a result you get a universal dish for every day,” noted Klopotenko.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g champignons;
  • 200 ml water;
  • 100 ml water;
  • 30 g flour;
  • 300 ml sour cream with 20% fat content;
  • salt to taste;
  • ground black pepper to taste;
  • five sprigs of parsley.

Preparation

  1. Wash 500 g of champignons, cut in half and fry in a well-heated frying pan until golden brown.
  2. Add 200 ml of water, cover the pan with a lid, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Dilute 30 g of flour in 100 ml of water. Add 300 ml of sour cream with 20% fat.
  4. Pour the resulting mixture over the mushrooms, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the mushrooms for another 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
