A trusting Zelenogorsk schoolboy transferred 70 thousand rubles from his mother’s savings to scammers

In Zelenogorsk, scammers once again deceived a schoolchild, forcing him to give them his parents’ money.

As the police found out, the 14-year-old schoolboy received a call from an unfamiliar number. The caller introduced himself as an employee of a mobile operator and, under the pretext of saving the number, lured the code from an SMS.
Immediately after this, the teenager began receiving calls from false specialists of the State Services portal and the Central Bank. They convinced the child that the previous call was from scammers, and now they urgently need to declare all the money they have at home. The boy said that his mother kept 70 thousand rubles in cash.
Acting on the scammers' instructions, the student went to the ATM and transferred all of his parent's savings to the scammers' accounts.
The investigative department of the Department of Internal Affairs for ZATO Zelenogorsk opened a criminal case under the article “Fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, causing significant damage.” The circumstances of the incident are being established.
