In the debate from Antena 3 CNN on Wednesday night, the candidates were face to face to send one last message before the elections. Elena Lasconi put Nicușor Dan to swear on the Bible, in the middle of the stage, that he does not lie. “Not profane”, it was the answer offered by the mayor of the capital.

Call both face to face, Elena Lasconi said she just wants to shake Nicușor Dan's hand. Then she said that “I appreciated him because I didn't know him. I don't like you lied several times and I can prove, but I don't want to humiliate you.”

“” You said you called me on December 8, I prove that you didn't call me, you didn't announce us. Say a lot about your character that immediately after the choices you decided to run without an honest discussion with me. I don't like the people who lie. I asked you why you lied to me, I think that if you go to me. Let me not lie, never betray ”, continued the mayor of Campulung.

In reply, Nicușor Dan claimed that “I have never lied”

“Good people, on May 4 and May 18, we have elections in Romania and they define the direction in which Romania goes,” said the mayor of the capital. During the answer, he was interrupted by Lasconi who put it to swear by the Bible. “Do you join the Bible that you have never lied to me?”

“I am a practicing Orthodox Christian and not profane,” Dan replied.

“The fact that you have plotted with my colleagues … I am wrong, Mr. Dan. Be healthy, but I don't like liars,” Lasconi concluded.
