Tudor Chirilă, about Iulian Vrabete: “A very distinguished man, cultured, gentle, kind, a talented bass player”

The soloist of the band Vama, Tudor Chirilă, paid tribute to the bassist of the band Holograf, Iulian Vrabete, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 70.

“Mugurel Vrabete has left Holograf. It's very sad news. Mugurel was a very distinguished, cultured, gentle, good man and a basic member of the band, a talented bass player. I leave a thought here for the loved ones who stayed behind him. Our youth also meant Holograf, therefore also Mugurel. May God rest him!”, Tudor Chirilă wrote in a message on Facebook, after learning the news that Iulian Sparrow died out.

Holograf members posted a message on Facebook announcing the death of the band's bassist, saying he had been battling an incurable disease.

“One day is coming… And today came a painful day. Iulian Vrabete left us, after a battle with an incurable disease.

It has been part of the Holograf family for over 40 years. We wrote together a large part of the band's story and lived together both joys and sorrows. We miss him immensely.

Mugurel wasn't just our friend, our big brother, the band's bass player or a passionate and talented musician. For us he was a point of balance, the man who gathered us and sat us down when things got complicated”.
