Zyuganov also accused Washington of aggressive policies and said that what was happening demonstrated “the true face of American imperialism.”
Commenting on the military campaign, he noted that the original US plan, in his opinion, failed. “The blitzkrieg failed – they were counting on a quick capitulation, but this did not happen,” said the Russian deputy.
He also said that Trump is now supposedly forced to fight “for his political survival.”

On the morning of February 28, Israel and the United States announced military operation in Iran (Israel called it “Lion's Roar”, the USA – “Epic Fury” ). Trump has stated his intention to protect the American people by eliminating threats from the Iranian regime.
In Tehran they immediately threatened “crushing” retaliatory blow and sent missiles and drones to several countries in the Middle East where there are American military bases – in particular, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain.
On March 1, Trump stated that military operation in Iran may take four weeks. And Politico wrote on March 5 that the US operation against Iran could last at least 100 days and probably will last until September.
