Prosecutor General Alex Florenta, without a favorable opinion for the post of deputy at DIICOT. Why is the vote resumed?

Prosecutors from the CSM failed, on Thursday, to agree whether to give a favorable or negative opinion for the current general prosecutor Alex Florenta to occupy one of the two positions of deputy head of DIICOT. The decision was postponed.

Florence was heard on Wednesday by the Prosecutors' Section of the CSM, which must give its opinion, which is an advisory one.

The Section for Prosecutors of the CSM consists of six members: five elected by prosecutors and one member by law, the PSD Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu.

According to HotNews sources, 3 members voted for the favorable opinion for the appointment of Florence as deputy in DIICOT, and three voted against. “At the next meeting, only the voting will resume, the procedure will not resume,” said the quoted sources.
