Chicken breast remains a favorite protein option for those who value lightness and nutrition. This cooking method does not require marinades for a day or complex equipment. All you need is a frying pan, a stove, fresh breast meat and salt. We will tell you how to do it correctly so that the meat turns out juicy, tender and aromatic, and the dinner is hearty at home.
To experience the magic of dinner, try cooking the breast with rest after grilling. The main rule: do not cut immediately. Allow the juices to distribute through the fibers. Resting meat is a traditional technique in professional kitchens. It retains moisture, softens the texture and makes the taste richer and deeper.
What you need for 1 serving:
Chicken fillet – 1 pc.
Salt – ½ tsp.
Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l.
Butter – 10 g
Garlic or herbs – optional
How to cook:
- Pat the breasts dry with a paper towel and lightly pound to an even thickness.
- Season with salt on both sides and leave for 10 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add vegetable oil.
- Place the breast and fry for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Turn over, reduce heat and cook for another 3-4 minutes. If desired, add butter and drizzle it over the breast.
- Remove from heat and cover with foil. Let rest for 5-7 minutes before slicing.
Resting after frying allows the muscle fibers to relax and reabsorb the juices. The result is meat that is juicier in texture, with even moisture and a delicate flavor.
Properly rested chicken breast works well for a light dinner or lunch. It is filling, but due to careful cooking, it is easier to perceive than the overcooked version.
Bon appetit!
