Totally unusual announcement before the League 2 match: “Please park your vehicles in the forecourts between 08:00

The officials of CS Afumați, in the announcement promoting the match on social networks, had an unprecedented request: the residents of the stadium area to park their cars in the yards in the event of acts of vandalism by the supporters of Stella, without there being a historical rivalry between the two clubs.

“CS Afumați and Steaua București meet on Saturday, March 7, from 11:00 a.m., at the stadium in Afumați, in a match counting for the 20th stage of the II League.

We encourage supporters to come to the stadium without personal cars, as parking spaces in the area are limited.

Citizens who live on Petrăchioaia, Ștefan cel Mare, Tufanului and Traian streets (partially – roundabout area) are asked to park their vehicles in the yards, to avoid possible acts of vandalism, between 08:00 and 15:00

Only once did Steaua play at the stadium in Afumați, at the very match in which they were promoted to League 2. Now Steaua supporters are expected at the stadium, but at that match the measures were much tougher, and their access was forbidden.

At that match, the Ilfov Gendarmerie decided that the area around the stadium would be restricted, and only locals could enter the stadium. Another strange measure at the time was the fact that pedestrian groups larger than 6 people were prohibited on the entire surface of the Smokehouse. The measures imposed at that time were strict, but, nevertheless, Peluza Sud Steaua came to Afumati.
