Trump rules out any deal with Iran other than “unconditional surrender.” What does it say about the future of the country after the war
US President Donald Trump on Friday, on his social platform Truth Social, conveyed the conditions for stopping US attacks on Iran, stating that “there will be no deal with Iran except on the condition of unconditional surrender”, according to CNN.
So far, the White House leader has not presented a clear timetable for ending hostilities with the Tehran regime. In an interview with Time magazine, Trump previously said his administration's goals could be achieved in four or five weeks, but stressed that “there's no time limit on anything” and that he wants to “get things done.”
“After that, and after the election of a great and acceptable leader (or leaders), we, along with many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it bigger, more prosperous and economically stronger than ever before,” he wrote on Friday.
“Iran will have a great future. MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!),” Trump continued.
The US president said on Thursday that he must be personally involved in choosing Iran's next leader after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel.
