According to the authorities and his daughter, Reina, the incident took place on the evening of February 24, in the community of Chaptico, St. Mary's. The actor would have entered a barn to start a car with the help of power cables. The vehicle apparently caught fire, and Brown asked his wife for a fire extinguisher. A representative of the Maryland Institute of Forensic Medicine said Brown's death was caused by extensive thermal burns and smoke inhalation and was ruled an accident.
His daughter, Reina Samara Brown, described the loss of her father as straight “devastating”.
“It hurts in a way that presses on my chest and won't go away. I would give anything to hear his voice one more time, see him one more time and have one last conversation.” she wrote. He also told people to pray for their family and spend time with their parents, no matter how busy they are.
