Webcams are banned in Kazakhstan
The Criminal Code of Kazakhstan was supplemented with language on the provision of sexual services remotely; they were added to the articles on the organization of brothels and on involvement in prostitution. Webcams were also banned in Kyrgyzstan this summer.
The law “On Combating Trafficking in Persons” introduced the concept of “other services of a sexual nature.” They include, among other things, the performance of actions to obtain “income or benefits” aimed “at satisfying the sexual need (passion) of another person” remotely, including via the Internet.
