Every year in March, ZUS carries out indexation of pension and disability benefits. The indexed benefits will be paid to all eligible persons on standard payment dates, i.e. on the 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th of the month.
If the deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or another statutory holiday, ZUS will make the payment until the last business day before this deadline. Due to the fact that March 1 falls on a Sunday this year, the Company paid indexed benefits in advance so that retirees and pensioners could receive them no later than February 27.

This is how many people will receive indexed benefits from ZUS in the first period
“On the first payment date, ZUS valorized over PLN 1,55,000 of benefits. The funds for the payment of benefits were transferred to the post office on February 24 and reached the banks on February 26,” the Department reported.
On the next date (March 6), ZUS will pay over 1.8 million benefits. The money will be transferred to the post office on March 3 and will reach the banks on March 5. On March 10, nearly 1.5 million people will receive benefits. The Post Office will receive the funds on March 5 and banks will receive the funds on March 9.

Payment of pensions and annuities on March 15 falls on Sunday, so the benefits will be transferred earlier. Those entitled will receive them no later than Friday, March 13.
The payout dates of March 20 and 25 remain unchanged. Funds for the payment of benefits on these payment dates will be transferred to the post office on March 17 and 20, respectively, and to banks – on March 19 and 24. Payments of indexed benefits for people receiving benefits and pre-retirement benefits will be sent to the post office on March 27, and to banks on March 31, so that those entitled to them can receive them on April 1.

Changes in the amount of pensions and annuities. Here are the amounts after March indexation
As a result of the March indexation, the amount of the lowest pension, survivor's pension and pension for total incapacity for work will increase by PLN 99 and PLN 58, reaching PLN 1,978 and PLN 49 gross. The pension for partial incapacity for work from March 1, 2026 will amount to PLN 1,483.87. In addition, the limit amount of the supplementary benefit for people unable to live independently will be increased by PLN 135 and PLN 28, which will give a total of PLN 2,687 and PLN 67.
With the increase in long-term basic benefits, the amounts of allowances and cash benefits will also be indexed. The increase concerns, among others, the care allowance, the orphan allowance and other long-term benefits. The pre-retirement benefit will amount to PLN 1,993 and PLN 76 gross, the allowance for a complete orphan will increase to PLN 689 and PLN 17, and the care allowance will amount to PLN 366 and PLN 68. Additionally, the care allowance for a war invalid recognized as completely incapable of work and incapable of independent living will amount to PLN 550 and PLN 2, while the energy lump sum will amount to PLN 336 and PLN 16. The indexation covers benefits granted until the end of February 2026.
