Poland donated over 29,000 to Ukraine. Starlink terminals. Kyiv thanks you for your support

Poland continues to finance the operation of the Starlink system in Ukraine; it also transferred over PLN 29,000 to the Ukrainian side. Starlink terminals, which made a huge contribution to building the resilience of our country, the Ministry of Digital Affairs in Kiev announced on Friday.

“Poland is our strategic and reliable partner. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Poland has donated over 29,000 Starlink terminals and continues to financially support their operation. This is a huge contribution to (strengthening) Ukraine's resilience,” we read in the ministry's announcement published on Telegram.

According to the ministry, reliable Internet is the basis for the functioning of a country developed in terms of digital technologies. “In times of full-scale war, Starlink terminals enable hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure facilities and frontline regions to remain connected even during the most severe blackouts,” the Ukrainian ministry noted.

The Ministry of Digitization expressed gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization of Poland, Krzysztof Gawkowski, and the entire government in Warsaw for “unwavering support, solidarity and openness to cooperation.”

Starlink, a satellite system operated by a company owned by the American company Space X, run by billionaire Elon Musk, is of key importance to the Ukrainian army. Terminals provide communication necessary, among others, for: for communication on the front line and maintaining an uninterrupted command system.
