The University of Cluj prevailed on Saturday evening, score 4-1in front of the Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc formation, in a match within the round with number 27 of the Superliga. Following this victory, the “red caps” keep their chances of qualifying for the play-offs.
Dan Nistor (37 years old), the veteran of the “red caps”, managed to score in the match with the number 500 in the Superliga. He initially missed the penalty kick in the 36th minute of the game, but later managed to send the ball into the goal.

At the end of the game, the midfielder spoke about the emotions he experienced on the day he reached this impressive milestone, but also about the chances Cluj University still has in order to qualify for the Super League play-off.
Dan Nistor: “I think we will be in the play-offs”
“The 3 points were important, they keep us in the fight for the play-offs. I had the greatest thrills of my life. Even when I debuted, I didn't have such emotions. I want to thank those from the University of Cluj and Csikszereda for the gift given to the Professional Football League, to all the people who sent me messages and supported me. It was an incredible day for me and I will definitely never forget this day.
I can't believe I debuted 16 years ago. Even when I got married, I didn't have such emotions. It's a very important milestone for me, for the club, for the supporters, for my family. I hope I can play again and get to 1st place.
I extended another year and on this way I want to thank the club for having faith in me and I hope I can help the team win.
I think that of the teams we beat in the play-offs, we had the hardest schedule. We only had games with play-off teams and I think if we get 6-7 points from these three games we will be in the play-offs“, said Dan Nistor in a flash interview at Digi Sport.
Special moments before the match
Before Iulian Călin's starting whistle, Dan Nistor received a special T-shirt from Cluj. The same thing was done by the officials from Miercurea Ciuc, through Eugen Pârvulescu, the president of the club, who discovered Nistor at a tournament and transferred him from Curtea de Argeș to Pandurii.
Including Professional Football League officials they marked the moment. A special plaque provided by the match observer, Marin Barbu, all in gratitude for the incredible performance ticked off by Dan Nistor today.
