Radu Petrescu, the referee of the match Petrolul – Arges 2-1made an incomprehensible decision at the end of the match in Ploiesti.
In the 86th minute, he canceled out Sierra's goal. Because Petrescu blew his whistle before the ball entered the net, the phase could not be analyzed by VAR.

It was 1-1 in Ploiesti when FC Argeș had a lateral free kick. Micovschi took the set piece and the referee blew his whistle before Sierra sent the ball into the net.
The “Central” whistled for a foul, but on the replays presented by television, no contact between the players of the two teams in the box is observed, before the midfielder of FC Argeș scored.
Two minutes after the controversial decision, Petrolul scored for 2-1, through Andres Dumitrescu.
What Radu Petrescu would have conveyed to the players
After the match, in the interview, Mario Tudose, the defender of FC Argeș, explained what the referee told him on the field. According to the player, Petrescu explained that he blew the whistle before Micovschi executed. However, replays show the center whistled after Micovschi hit the puck and before Sierra scored.
“From what I understand, he gave a foul. But, before Micovschi took the free kick, he whistled because he was told that it wasn't a foul. That's how I understood, that initially he gave an erroneous foul. He reversed the phase before Micovschi hit the ball,” said Tudose, on Prima Sport 1.
