The grand prize at Lotto 6/49, worth 4.50 million euros (22,948,891.68 lei), was won on Thursday, with a ticket that cost 28 lei, announced the Romanian Lottery.
“The lucky ticket was played on the platform of the Romanian Lottery (…) and was completed with three variants of Loto 6/49 and one variant of Noroc, the price of the ticket being 28 lei”, the company's press release states.
It is the first category I win obtained this year at Loto 6/49.
The last time, the first category prize was won on November 9, 2025, when its value was 49,149,676.24 lei (over 9.66 million euros). The winner did not want to make his identity public, but according to the Romanian Lottery he is from Arad, around 30 years old and an engineer by profession.
According to the Regulation on the organization and administration of traditional lotto games, the winner has 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.
