CFR Cluj has formalized the transfer of Nicoale Sula, a 19-year-old striker.

The player originally from the Republic of Moldova will join the club from Gruia this winter.

CFR Cluj transferred Nicolae Sula

Nicolae Sula is a promising young Moldovan striker. He played for teams like Zimbru Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) and Dunajska Streda (Slovakia) and has 11 selections for the U19 national team across the Prut.

The announcement was made on Wednesday through a social media post.

“Welcome, Nicolae Sula! CFR-ists, a new promising young man joins our club! Starting today, Nicolae Sula is our new striker!

At the age of 19, Nicolae started his journey at the junior level at the well-known formation from the Republic of Moldova, Zimbru Chisinau, where he demonstrated his qualities, and later he made the step to the team from Slovakia, Dunajska Streda, where he performed for the youth formations. At the international level, the young striker has ticked many calls to all the junior representatives of the Republic of Moldova.

We wish him much success in the white-cherry shirt and as many successes as possible with CFR Cluj!”

The news of the transfer comes less than two days after Daniel Pancu (51 years old), the coach of the Aradenians, announced that he wanted two more players in the team.

We look good, the individual value is high, but I would need two more players.

– Daniel Pancu, after the match with Rapid

This move comes a few days after the transfer of central defender Marian Huja (26) was made official. Sula is CFR's fifth transfer, after Alibek Aliev (Osters), Ilija Masic (Zrinjski Mostar), Mihai Popa (Torino) and Marian Huja (Pogon Szczecin).

CFR Cluj shows signs of a comeback and hopes to qualify for the play-off. The team reached 7 consecutive victories in the championship and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Romanian Cup. For Cluj, the duel with FC Hermannstadt follows, scheduled in Sibiu, on Monday, February 16, from 20:00.
