Siberian Generating Company is increasing the number of participants in the environmental project “New Heat” to transfer the private sector to electric heating.
Since the beginning of this year, 20 applications have already been received from homeowners. In total, in 2026, the company plans to additionally convert 120 houses to eco-heat.
The program has been implemented since 2021, and during this time, environmentally friendly electrical equipment has been installed in 640 private sector homes in Krasnoyarsk, and emissions have been reduced by 2 thousand tons per year. The electrical installations were tested by frost, and according to project participants, this heating method has worked well.
The company’s specialists, together with power engineers from Rosseti Sibir, first go to the site, conduct diagnostics of the wiring and assess the possibility of technological connection to the power line.
The “New Heat” project is part of the federal “Clean Air” program of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”, in which SGC has been participating since 2018. The company is also implementing other initiatives aimed at reducing the burden on the environment. In particular, it develops and modernizes its production taking into account all environmental requirements and replaces non-ecological boiler houses. In the regional capital, 37 inefficient heat sources have already been closed.
In addition, SGK is developing a network of electric charging stations in the city. 82 installations have already been deployed, another one is operating in Divnogorsk. Taking into account the gas stations of other project participants, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the five leading regions in Russia in terms of the number of installed electric charging stations.
