American peacekeeping envoy Steve Witkoff will arrive in Israel on Tuesday and meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Reuters reported. Witkoff is scheduled to be in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and Thursday, where the next round of negotiations between Ukraine, the US and Russia will take place.

Witkoff's conversation with Netanyahu will most likely cover, among others: tensions around Iran – wrote the Times of Israel website, citing Israeli officials.
President Donald Trump's envoy will later go to the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, to participate in negotiations with representatives of Moscow and Kiev, Reuters reported, citing a White House official.
The meeting in Abu Dhabi will be the second round of trilateral peace negotiations. The first one took place on January 23-24, and Witkoff also participated from the American side. These were the first talks during which Trump's representatives met simultaneously with negotiators from Ukraine and Russia. Previously, Americans talked alternately with Russians and Ukrainians.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed his country's participation in the second round of negotiations, which was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 1. According to the media, however, the Ukrainian leader warned that the talks may be postponed due to tensions between the US and Iran.
Witkoff spoke on Saturday in Miami with Russian representative Kirill Dmitriev, who is participating in the negotiations as the Kremlin's envoy. Trump's representative described the meeting as “constructive.” (PAP)
