Wages in women's football have increased in recent years, but they are still at a great distance from those in men's football. Aitana Bonmati, the best player in the world, midfielder in Barcelona, earns just over 1 million euros per season.
About 30 times less than Erling Haaland, Manchester City's striker, the highest paid player in Europe.

Aitana won twice in a row, in the years 2023 and 2024, the Golden Ball in women's football, but also the FIFA prize for the best player. EA has a salary of 1.1 million euros per year.
The second place player in the ranking of wages worldwide is also from Barcelona, Alexia Putllas (31 years old), a double winner of the Golden Ball in 2021 and 2022. She receives 800,000 euros per season.
The podium is completed by Sam Kerr, from Chelsea, the best team in the Premier League in women's football. The English player receives 565,000 euros per year.
Trinity Rodman is the youngest player in the top. At just 21 years old she receives 281,000 euros a year at Washington Spirit
