PAOK fans are returning from the road following the tragedy: the Lyon away section will be closed
The PAOK family is in deep mourning after seven of the club's supporters lost their lives in a tragic road accident, marking one of the darkest pages in the club's history. As a minimum mark of respect to the memory of the missing, the stand intended for away supporters at the Lyon stadium will remain closed during the upcoming clash on Thursday, according to the quoted source.
This decision was taken following consultation between the organized supporters and the PAOK club. In parallel, the fans who had already started the journey to France started back to Thessaloniki, according to the Greek publication.
Time stopped. It froze. The words dry up. Pain permeates the body and mind. The tears flow. Pain engulfs you, brings you to your knees, breaks you.
Another black day. Another indescribable tragedy for the PAOK family. Farewell to our children whose love for the four letters took them far.
Love for PAOK got them there, left them there and moved on, but their souls will rest under the wings of the Double Headed Eagle.
Condolences to the families of those children. In their unimaginable pain they will not be alone. The big PAOK family will always be with them to ease the pain as easily as possible.
Our thoughts also go out to the wounded who have their own battle. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the injured receive the best medical treatment, we will make sure they return home quickly and we will always be by their side.
We have only one wish…That it never happens again…
