The Ministry of Education proposed to ban the publication of finished homework assignments on the Internet

January 25 15:00

The Russian Ministry of Education has prepared amendments prohibiting ready-made answers to assignments from school textbooks, Olympiads and examination materials from being made publicly available. The initiative aims to increase student independence.

As the publication sibnovosti.ru writes, the purpose of the proposed restrictions is to preserve the quality of education. However, we are not talking about a complete ban on auxiliary materials. The exception will be official decisions published by textbook authors or olympiad organizers. These materials will be available on the educational resources of the Ministry of Education and on the websites of the Olympiads.

The draft amendments have been submitted to the State Duma for consideration. If the law is adopted, online resources that publish ready-made homework assignments will have to remove them from public access.
