Olimpiu Moruțan (26 years old) signed with Rapid and on Saturday he will be officially presented during a press conference at the Giulești stadium.
The offensive midfielder will participate in the conference together with Constantin Gâlcă, the coach of Rapid. The event will take place at 15:30 on January 24. Later, from 4:30 p.m., Moruțan will participate in a meeting with several fans of the Giulești team.

The conference during which Moruțan will be officially presented will take place before leaving for Arad. Rapid will play on Monday at the “Francis Neumann” stadium, against UTA. The offensive midfielder has chances to enter the game at the end, being the starter from the 24th stage.
Although he did not train with Rapid, Moruțan is physically prepared. He played on January 18 in Aris' shirt against AEL Larissa in the Greek Championship. Olimpiu came on in the 67th minute and did not already help his former team avoid defeat. The final score was 0-1.
This season, Moruțan played 17 games for Aris: 13 in the championship, two in the Greek Cup and two in the Conference League preliminaries. The Romanian international did not score or provide an assist for the yellow-blacks. He had arrived at Aris Thessaloniki in the summer of 2025.
Moruțan will initially play on loan at Rapid, and in the summer he will sign a new contract with Giulești. Olimpiu will be used by Gâlcă behind the top, in a 4-2-3-1 system. He can also perform in the right lane when needed, as happened when he was called up to the national team.

Moruțan landed in Romania on Thursday to sign with Rapid. It will be the fourth Romanian team he plays for, after U Cluj, Botoșani and FCSB.
