After days of rumors and speculation, it appears that OM officials have finally reached an agreement with Feyenoord chiefs regarding the permanent transfer of Quinten Timber.

Quinten Timber signed with OM » Feyenoord collects only 4.5 million euros

The Stade Velodrome club made the official announcement today, stating that the 24-year-old midfielder has signed a contract until the summer of 2030 with Roberto De Zerbi's side.

The amount with which the French convinced the leaders of the Rotterdam group is a tiny one, namely 4.5 million euros. However, this is due to the fact that the Dutch footballer is in the last months of his contract, and thus, Feyenoord risked losing him for free in the summer.

According to the information published in L'Equipeit seems that OM were not the only team interested in Quinten's services in the current mercato period. French journalists claim that Borussia Dortmund were also interested, but in the end it was the Hexagon outfit that secured the Dutch international's signature.

Throughout his career at senior level, Timber has only played in his native country. The first experience was in Utrecht in 2021-2022, and then he made the step to Feyenoord, where he played for the last three and a half years and where he managed to conquer the first trophies in his record (a championship, a Dutch cup and a super cup).

He also made 8 appearances for the “Mechanical Orange” first team, for which he managed to score a goal.

OM's next target: Arsenal's Ethan Nwaneri

The officials of the formation at the Stade Velodrome do not stop there, however. The journalists from L'Equipe also announced that those from Marseille are currently working on the transfer of the young Ethan Nwaneri (18 years old) from Arsenal.

The two clubs are extremely close to clapping hands, and the officialization of the move would take place in the next few hours. However, in Nwaneri's case it will not be a permanent transfer, but a loan until the end of the current season.
