The man nominated by US President Donald Trump for NASA administrator, Jared Isaacman, was detained in 2010 on the basis of fraud accusations and faced trials in two states because he wrote without coverage worth $ two million for casinos, government documents and court shows.
Isaacman is a pilot and astronaut billionaire who founded the company Shift4 Payments Four.n, when he was a teenager, and ran the first civil space crew on a Spacex capsule in 2021.
The Commerce of Commerce, Sciences and Transport of the US Senate will give a vote on the nomination of Isaacman on Wednesday for the position of administrator of the American Space Agency.
In a press article on February 22, 2010, with the title “Fugar in Nevada captured at the Canadian border”, the US Customs Authority announced that he arrested Jared Isaacman, on the border of Washington, for an alleged fraud. He was taken to a county prison to be extradited to Nevada, where Clark County, in which Las Vegas is also issued, had issued an arrest warrant. No details about the alleged fraud were provided.
The respective prison data shows that it was released the next day.
In a questionnaire in relation to his nomination in NASA, Isaacman said he was returning from Vancouver, in February 2010, when he was detained by the US Customs Authority for “issuing and issuing check-free checks.”
He claimed that it all started from a dispute with Palms Casino in Las Vegas about a reimbursement of the travel expenses that the IO complex had promised and failed to honor. Isaacman claims that he solved the problem in less than 24 hours, the accusations were withdrawn, and the court files were classified.
Claims to prioritize sending Americans to Mars
Jared Isaacman is a close associate of Elon Musk, the founder of Spacex, and said in the US Senate Commerce and Sciences that, with him, NASA will prioritize the sending of American astronauts, according to The New York Times.

In March, Elon Musk announced that the Starship rocket will leave for Mars at the end of 2026 and will have Optimus on board, the humanoid robot of Tesla, and people could reach the “Red Planet” in 2029, AFP reports.
“Starship leaves to Mars at the end of next year, transporting Optimus. If those landings are going well, then human landings could start at the earliest in 2029, although 2031 is more likely,” Musk said in a post on X.
