The mayor of Krasnoyarsk told how the city is experiencing abnormal frosts

The most serious problems were recorded in the power supply. The mayor said that major outages occurred in Solontsy and Solnechny, aboutrelatively short-lived ones were in different areas of the city – in Northern and Zelenaya Roshcha, as well as in Minino, Drokino and Elite. Power engineers promptly got involved in eliminating accidents. There are no emergencies at this time.
There were two outages in the cold water supply and sewerage networks – at Krupskaya, 32 it was necessary to warm up a frozen water supply, and in Solnechny, due to a power outage, the booster pumping station was temporarily not working.
Besides, in Torgashino Panikovka River flooded three houses on Shifernikov. Residents refused temporary resettlement; now there is no water outlet, the consequences of flooding are being eliminated.
There were no serious disruptions to public transport. In just three days, 17,684 trips were carried out; in several cases, buses left the line, but in return, reserve transport was promptly sent. “The gas-powered buses performed well in the cold. No failures were recorded in their work. Electric transport also survived the frost well; electric buses, trolleybuses, and trams worked. This was achieved thanks to the well-coordinated work of dispatchers, drivers and the operational work of enterprises,” the mayor’s office noted.
