Krasnoyarsk residents were reminded that there is no ban on giving children homemade food to school

Parents of Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren were reminded that eating homemade food at school is not a violation of sanitary rules.

Rospotrebnadzor noted that there are no direct prohibitions on schoolchildren eating ready-made meals given to them by their parents. But it is important to understand that in this case it is the parents who must be responsible for the freshness of the food and its safety for the child.

“We must take into account that prepared meals can quickly deteriorate if stored in improper conditions. For example, a tasty and high-quality cutlet that has been lying in a child’s backpack near the battery for the entire school day becomes an ideal environment for the growth of bacteria and can lead to undesirable consequences for children’s health. Therefore, it is better to use industrially produced products to feed children independently, taking into account their expiration dates and storage conditions established by the manufacturer,” Rospotrebnadzor said.

You can pack your child's lunch from fruits, nuts and whole grains because they won't spoil. It is important to wash food at home in advance and place it in secure packaging. But meat and dairy products are perishable, so they should be avoided.
