Dozens of volunteers turned to doctors with symptoms of oil poisoning…

Dozens of volunteers turned to doctors with symptoms of petroleum product poisoning after a fuel oil release in Anapa. Rescuers who breathe toxic fumes every day complain of dizziness and weakness.
According to Mash, 20 birds and two dolphins died, one of them was a baby Azov subspecies. He suffocated in the fuel oil. 12 birds are now in an unstable condition – according to experts, the forecasts range from cautious to unfavorable. 12 Great Grebes, four Black-necked Grebes, one Lesser Grebe, two Gulls and a Coot could not be saved. The rest of the birds are under the control of veterinarians. Volunteers have been helping birds for three days: they accepted more than 300 birds, cleaned up fuel oil and stabilized 112 birds. Specialists from the dolphin rescue center are also closely monitoring the situation.
So far there is no end in sight to the fuel oil disaster. A new release of the substance is expected, as one spot is drifting in the water area and may reach Anapa. There is still a lot of fuel oil at the bottom; volunteers do not have time to clean everything up. They need technology and more people. Bags of slurry are leaking, fuel oil is again spilling onto the beach, so volunteers ask officials for iron containers.
