Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele (28, right wing) is under contract for another two-and-a-half seasons, until June 2028, but PSG want to secure the renewal of one of their main stars as soon as possible.
However, according to the French from Footmercato, negotiations with the Ballon d'Or winner are not going to be easy, and the same source indicates that he would refuse the first proposal from the Parisians.
Ousmane Dembele would be ready to refuse a salary of 30 million euros
The publication adds that the 28-year-old French striker is demanding a considerably higher salary than the current one, around 18 million euros.
Fundamental to the success of Luis Enrique's side last season, alongside Portuguese Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos, the France international believes he is in the best possible position to discuss renewing his contract.
The French announce that the initial offer from PSG amounts to approximately 30 million euros per year, an amount considered insufficient by the player's representatives.
In October, upon returning to the field after injury, Dembele spoke about his future at the club: “I feel good, I'm getting my rhythm back little by little. As long as I have the desire, I will be at PSG. I'm happy to celebrate my 100th game for the club with a goal. I hope to continue on this path»”.
Dembele has been at PSG since 2023, when he arrived from Barcelona for 50 million euros. He has so far collected 111 matches, 47 goals and 34 decisive assists in the shirt of the Parisians.
