On the highway in the Rybinsk region, an elderly lady driving a car collided with a truck

On the highway in the Rybinsk district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the driver of a passenger car with a passenger got into a serious accident.

As the traffic police said, according to preliminary data, on the afternoon of January 8, at 982 km of the R-255 Siberia highway in the Rybinsk region, a 62-year-old woman, driving a Mazda Aksela, moving from Kansk towards Krasnoyarsk, drove into oncoming traffic, where she collided with a MAN truck with a semi-trailer driven by a 28-year-old man.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and a 15-year-old passenger traveling with her, who was in the front seat and was wearing a seat belt, were injured. They were hospitalized in a medical facility.

The State Traffic Inspectorate calls on all drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and be extra attentive on the road. Drifting into oncoming traffic remains one of the most dangerous maneuvers leading to accidents.
