The delegation of the President of Romania was supposed to arrive in the country on Tuesday evening, after participating in the Summit of the Coalition of the Will in Paris. However, the Spartan military aircraft could not take off either on Tuesday evening or on Wednesday morning, because the airport runway was covered with snow, reports News.ro.

President Nicușor Dan explained the situation, emphasizing that the runway must be cleaned before takeoff. “The runway must be cleared“, he stated, explaining the reason for the delay.

In the same context, the head of state admitted that Romania needs a modern presidential aircraft. “It is necessary to purchase a presidential aircraft, not only for the president, but also for the ministers who go on delegations when there are important things”said Nicușor Dan.
