Double strike on cockroaches: I use a proven strategy – not a single cockroach remains

The appearance of cockroaches in an apartment can be a rather unpleasant problem. It is difficult to fight them due to their rapid reproduction. During the life cycle, one female lays up to 9 capsules, each of which contains 20–40 eggs. Even a few insects that get into an apartment quickly create a colony.

They hide in cracks, behind appliances and in ventilation, and over time they become immune to conventional insecticides.

However, pest control experts note that a significant part of the population can be eliminated using an integrated approach based on 2 natural ingredients and the correct sequence of actions.

Experienced housewives use a two-step strategy to combat cockroaches.

Stage 1 with vinegar

Dilute 9% table vinegar with water in a 1:1 ratio.

Thoroughly wipe floors, baseboards, and areas around sinks and vents with the solution.

The pungent smell of vinegar acts as a powerful irritant, causing cockroaches to leave their hiding places. After treatment, be sure to ventilate the room.

Stage 2 for repelling

Add 10-15 drops of essential oils of mint, eucalyptus, tea tree or clove to 100 ml of water.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and treat the same areas: baseboards, ventilation, spaces under furniture and plumbing fixtures.

These odors not only repel insects, but also mask the pheromones they use to navigate.

To fully control the situation, these measures need to be supplemented.

  • Mix 1 sachet of boric acid (10 g) with boiled egg yolk or mashed potatoes. Roll into balls and place in areas where pests move. This substance acts as an intestinal poison and is transmitted within the colony.
  • Deprive cockroaches of access to water and food: wipe sinks dry, store food airtight, and regularly take out the trash.
  • Install screens over vents and seal cracks around pipes.

If the population of cockroaches is already large, traditional methods should be combined with professional insecticides in the form of gels or microencapsulated concentrates. They have a long-lasting residual effect and are transmitted from individual to individual.

Only consistency gives the real result. This multi-level approach will help not only reduce the number of cockroaches, but also prevent their reappearance.
