Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez earlier said on state television that soldiers and civilians were killed in the attack, but did not give a number of dead.
According to “NYT”, US troops attacked Fort Tiuna in Caracas, which houses, among others, the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the general command of the Venezuelan army, as well as the port of La Guaira and the Higuerote airport in Miranda state.

US forces captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Both were transported to New York state on Saturday and, according to American officials, they will appear in court there on charges of drug and terrorism-related crimes.
US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that during the operation one of the American helicopters was hit and several soldiers were injured. He noted that no member of the US armed forces was killed in the operation.
