The theme park-museum of the development of the North on Molokov Island in Krasnoyarsk will open in 2026. TASS reports this with reference to the Krasnoyarsk Territory Tourism Agency.

The creation of the park-museum is being carried out on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was given in December 2025. The agency noted that the project will become a new significant tourist attraction and a popular vacation spot for citizens.

“The park-museum of the exploration of the North (Arctic) is planned to open on Molokov Island in 2026. A park area will be created: bicycle and pedestrian paths, a museum trail for the exploration of the North, and sports grounds. It is also planned to improve the beach area, observation decks along the coastline, recreation areas and much more,” the agency explained.

The museum's exhibition will be dedicated to the history of the development of the North, the role of Krasnoyarsk residents in polar expeditions, as well as the history of the AlSib air route (Alaska – Siberia). Special attention will be paid to the biographies of famous polar explorers and pilots, including Vasily Molokov, after whom the island is named.

Let us remind you that the first stone of the future interactive park-museum was laid back in 2017. Construction started last summer. The project was developed by the A2 workshop.
