Ilie Bolojan, New Year's message: “I believe that we can overcome difficulties and make Romania a place where everyone can build a better future”

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan claims in his New Year's message that he thanks the Romanians for the effort made this year, which was “difficult”, because “he it was necessary to put the finances in order and correct many shortcomings”.
“Dear Romanians, I wish you good health and a new year full of accomplishments. We are ending a difficult year together, in which it was necessary to put our finances in order and correct many shortcomings”, Prime Minister Bolojan began his message published on Facebook.
“I thank you all for the effort put in to support your families, for your patience and for the sacrifices made. Next year I believe that we can overcome the difficulties and make Romania, our country, a place where everyone can build a better future. Happy birthday! May God protect all Romanians everywhere,” he wrote.
Bolojan: The government must be careful about spending and collect the established taxes and fees
In a press statement held on Tuesday, the last of this year, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan spoke about the Government's priorities from 2026.
“For next year, if we collect our fees and taxes that were established this year and we are prudent in the way we spend the money, there will be no need to increase other fees or taxes. This year, as you know, we have paid all the debts on the development programs for builders in Romania and we enter next year debt-free, ensuring both access to European funds and the payment of builders and guaranteeing investments for the following year,” emphasized Ilie Bolojan in press statements made at Victoria Palace.
