About a thousand birds were rescued in Crimea after a fuel oil spill in the Kerch Strait. We have collected the main thing by this time:
— Aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, sea vessels and volunteers examined 548 kilometers of the coast. Point releases of petroleum products were recorded.
— There are no significant emissions of the “black wave” or “black shore” class in Crimea.
— In the Saki, Leninsky, Chernomorsky districts, as well as in Kerch and Yevpatoria, a municipal emergency regime was introduced. In Sevastopol there is a regional emergency situation.
— Volunteers and specialists collected 343 tons of sand and soil contaminated with fuel oil. They also recorded an increase in the number of “black oil birds”. Experimental enclosures were made for the rescued. One of them is in Alushta (pictured).
