Adrian Pitu (50 years old) told what he experienced after a match with a Romanian football song. The match between Craiova University – Dinamo 1-3, played on November 19, 2000 in front of 27,000 spectators. A match where the midfielder was supposed to start, but overnight the team changed he was only a reserve.
The 2000-2001 season with Florin Marin on the bench of the University of Craiova. “Gigi Nețoiu teamed up with Nicu Gheară. We had reached the first place and we were fighting in the championship. There were still a few stages and we were playing with Dinamo, at home. Then we beat Steaua, FC Național and tied with Giulesti”the story of Adrian Pitu begins.
Present at an edition of the show “Prietenii lui Ovidiu”, “The Python” remembered a match with a song in which he was supposed to be the starter, but overnight he suddenly became an unused reserve! “The match with Dinamo Bucharest is coming, at home. And before it started, the teams changed. Five starting players changed. Me, Domocoș, Mitu… He took us out and put others in. Dinamo beat us!”he says.

Craiova opened the scoring through Claudiu Niculescu, but Cornel Dinu's “dogs” turned the match around. Marius Niculae, Bogdan Onuț and Claudiu Drăgan scored for Dinamo who won 3-1 in Bănie.
“We were locked in the locker room for three hours! After the match, Gheara quit football, he said he didn't want to hear anymore. That's when Craiova was destroyed. From then on, Craiova was over. All the spectators came to the locker room. They surrounded us, luckily we had bars. One was biting the bars, I was also scared! Then I got scared… Honestly! It was also Pitu's last season in Craiova, who refused the group transfer to Dinamo: “I went to Spain on vacation. When I came back I went to get my ID from her Gigi and I went to Astra in preparation. With Ion Marin. I stayed for three weeks and I didn't get along, because he was swearing at so-and-so. I left.”
