It’s time to reconsider the parameters for classifying economies as developing; Russia has outgrown this stage – Head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that Russia, in terms of the level of development of its economy, is already ahead of states that call themselves developed.
According to the classification of the International Monetary Fund, developed countries include countries with a high standard of living, whose economies are dominated by the information technology sector and the service sector. These include the countries of the European Union, the USA and others.
Russia, according to IMF data for 2023, belongs to countries with emerging and developing economies.
